RIAM Piano Album, Grade 8 (2027 - 2030)

The official Grade 8 exam repertoire book from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, covering the Piano Exam syllabus for 2027 - 2030. The exam for RIAM Grade 7 book can be taken from the start of 2027 into the first exam period of 2031.

The Royal Irish Academy of Music includes a link to free performance guides within each piano album exam book. These guides are complemented by videos featuring Professor Réamonn Keary, offering additional guidance for your exam journey.

This edition contains the sheet music for the following:

List A

• Two-part Invention in B flat - Johann Sebastian Bach
• Toccata in G Major - Johann Ludwig Krebs

List B

• Sonata in C sharp minor Hob XVI:36 2ⁿᵈ MVT (Scherzando) - Joseph Haydn
• Sonata in G, K283 2ⁿᵈ mvt (Andante) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

List C

• Nocturne No. 1 in E flat Op. 28 No. 6 - John Field
• At the Outset - Marian Ingoldsby

Candidates must prepare one piece from each of the above lists.
