Piano Time is a hugely successful series for all young beginners, from the very first lesson up to around Grade 3, with a complete range of carefully paced and attractive books, tutors, books of pieces, duets, and technique books, making learning the piano a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Piano Time 1 starts at the very beginning, with simple five-finger tunes for hands separately and together, many featuring duet parts to play alongside a teacher or parent. It gradually adds more notes and techniques, covering sharps and flats, simple scales and keys, and a range of dynamics and symbols, all presented with a gradual pace and appealing full-colour illustrations. Play-along audio tracks are available on major streaming platforms or to download from a companion website.

Pauline Hall graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and taught in schools and privately. While living and teaching in Harrogate, she felt the need for a piano tutor that made learning genuinely fun, progressing at the pace of her slowest learner, starting by writing little tunes in her pupils' notebooks, which formed the basis of Tunes for Ten Fingers and, eventually, the entire Piano Time series.
