Infeld Red Violin Strings. IR100

Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Red Violin String Set, 4/4 (IR100)

Add warmth and depth to your violin’s voice with the Thomastik-Infeld Infeld Red string set. Infeld Red strings are designed to bring out a warm, broad and slightly darker tone, so they’re a great choice for players who want to soften a bright instrument or simply enjoy a rich, rounded sound. They sit at a medium, low tension similar to Dominant strings, so they feel familiar and comfortable to switch to.

Each string is wound on a composite core, which feels soft and responsive under the left hand and gives the set a long working life. The strings settle quickly, so they’re stable and concert ready in a short time after fitting. The E string is gold-plated stainless steel with a removable ball end, the A and D strings are Hydronalium wound, and the G is silver wound, giving a balanced, cohesive sound across all four strings.

Infeld Red strings are designed to mix and match with Infeld Blue, which has an identical tension but a more focused, brilliant sound. That means you can fine-tune your violin’s tone string by string, adding warmth or clarity without experimenting with different brands or tensions.
