A genuinely unique take on tuning, the Planet Waves SOS Guitar Tuner uses revolutionary Strobe-On-String technology, pulsing two out-of-phase LED light beams directly onto the vibrating string. When the string is out of tune, the two lights visually dance on the string, slowing as you approach pitch and stopping completely once you're perfectly in tune.

Because it relies purely on visuals rather than audible sound or sensing, the SOS Tuner is ideal for noisy stages and dark settings alike, letting you tune with confidence no matter the environment. Barely bigger than a guitar pick, its ergonomic pick-sized design lets you pluck the string and shine the LED beam in one easy motion, with a thumbwheel used to select the correct output for each string. An auto power-off function helps preserve battery life, and a CR1620 battery is included.

Note: this tuner is designed specifically for 6-string guitars in standard tuning.
