The 209B is Aulos's entry-level alto recorder, ideal for players ready to move up from a descant instrument. Despite its accessible price, it delivers the same excellent tone and free-speaking response found across the wider Aulos range, backed by the brand's patented "cavity wall" design.

A three-piece construction gives extra flexibility for tuning and makes cleaning straightforward, while the movable bottom joint can be positioned to help smaller hands comfortably reach the lower holes. A curved windway improves breath control and produces a soft, clear, sonorous tone, particularly useful when playing in an ensemble. A removable thumb rest supports the transition from soprano to alto playing, making the switch more comfortable for developing players.

Complete with a leatherette bag, fingering chart, cleaning rod, and joint grease, the 209B gives schools, choirs, and individual students everything needed to start playing straight away.
